Welcome to ART ALIVE MAIDENHEAD!

ART ALIVE MAIDENHEAD is run by two professional artists - Maria Meerstadt and Susan Marsh -  who specialise in teaching adults and teenagers all aspects of multi media painting.  The lessons are weekly and run in line with the school terms.  Dates and times are available below.

The lessons are suitable for all abilities.

All classes run to a curriculum to enable us to cover as many techniques each term as possible, but we are always open to suggestions, or if someone wishes to try something different.

The aim of the class is to have fun, meet people and learn to paint - or improve what you already know.
At the end of each academic year we hold an exhibition and all members of Art Alive are encouraged to join in!  Have a look at the Gallery page to see our Summer 2012 exhibition!

ART ALIVE FOR ADULTS
At Art Alive we firmly believe that everyone can paint - and our aim is to bring out your inner artist!  We do not encourage you to paint in a set way - but to develop your own style.

We also aim to introduce people to different materials so they can widen their painting horizons further.

We run one adult classes on Wednesdays at the Methodist Church. Maria runs this class.  Each term we aim to cover a new medium, and as many techniques as possible.  We like to challenge our groups but not take them out of their comfort zones!  Please have a look at the ART ALIVE for adults sections for further details.

Dates - Wednesday 16th Jan until March 27th.  Summer term dates to be arranged.

ART ALIVE FOR TEENS

Picture
The class for teens run during school term times on a Saturday morning at Maidenhead Methodist High Street Church, and this class is lead by Susan.  Again our aim is to develop each childs talents, but we  believe in making the lessons fun so they don't realise they are actually learning at the same time!
The pupils are encouraged to use as many materials as they like, and we have set projects going - often two at a time to avoid any boredom!
We also encourage our class to enter for local and international exhibitions, but only if they want to.
For further details about the classes please have a look a the Art Alive for teens section.

Dates - Saturday 12th Jan until 23rd March.  Summer dates to be posted.
